Connect Contact Form 7 to Klaviyo

ChimpMatic sends Contact Form 7 submissions straight to your Klaviyo lists. You connect with a private API key and map profile properties. As a result, every form submission becomes a profile that is ready for your flows.

What the Klaviyo integration needs

• A WordPress site with Contact Form 7 active
• ChimpMatic Lite 0.9.80 or newer
• An account with at least one list

Create a Klaviyo private API key

1. First, click your organization name in the bottom left, then Settings.
2. Next, open API Keys and click Create Private API Key.
3. Name it, for example “ChimpMatic”, give it list and profile access, and copy the key. Private keys appear only once.

Connect Contact Form 7 to Klaviyo

1. In WordPress, edit the form under Contact → Contact Forms.
2. Then open the Chimpmatic tab and choose this provider.
3. After that, paste your private API key and connect, and your lists load automatically.
4. Finally, select the list that new profiles should join.

Map your form fields

Match each Contact Form 7 field to a profile property. The email is required, while fields such as first name, last name, organization or phone number map to the standard properties. Consent and confirmation

Each list decides its own confirmation behavior. So if the list you selected uses double opt-in, new profiles get a confirmation email before they are subscribed. Single opt-in lists, on the other hand, subscribe people immediately. You set this on the list itself, and ChimpMatic honors it. See how double opt-in works across providers.

Test it

1. First, save the form and submit a test entry with a real inbox you control.
2. Then open Audience → Lists & segments, select your list, and check that the profile arrived with its properties.
3. If the list uses double opt-in, confirm through the email and check the consent status again.

FAQ

Private key or public key?

Private. The public site key only identifies your account for onsite tracking, so adding profiles to lists needs a private API key.

Can different forms feed different lists?

Yes. Each form’s Chimpmatic tab is independent, so every form can target its own list, or even another provider.

Will submissions trigger my Klaviyo flows?

Yes. Profiles added to a list can enter any flow that uses that list as a trigger, just as if they had joined through a native signup form.
