ChimpMatic sends Contact Form 7 submissions straight into your MailerLite groups. Connect with an API token, map your subscriber fields, and your forms start growing your audience immediately.
What you need
- A WordPress site with Contact Form 7 active
- ChimpMatic Lite 0.9.80 or newer
- A MailerLite account (free plan works) with at least one group
Get your MailerLite API token
- Log in to MailerLite and open Integrations from the left menu.
- Under MailerLite API, click Use, then Generate new token.
- Name the token (for example “ChimpMatic”) and copy it. MailerLite shows it once, so copy it before you leave the page.
Connect Contact Form 7 to MailerLite
- In WordPress, edit the form under Contact → Contact Forms.
- Open the Chimpmatic tab and choose MailerLite as the provider.
- Paste your API token and connect. Your groups load automatically.
- Select the group new subscribers should join.
Map your form fields
Match each Contact Form 7 field to a MailerLite subscriber field: email is required, and fields like name, last name, company, or phone map to their MailerLite counterparts. ChimpMatic Lite maps the required email plus up to four additional fields; Pro expands the mapping. Full details in the field mapping guide.
Double opt-in with MailerLite
MailerLite manages confirmation at the account level: if double opt-in is enabled in your MailerLite settings, subscribers added by your forms receive the confirmation email before they become active. ChimpMatic respects that setting rather than fighting it. See how double opt-in works across providers.
Test it
- Save the form and submit a test entry with a real inbox you control.
- In MailerLite, open Subscribers and confirm the new subscriber is in the selected group with the mapped fields filled.
- If your account has double opt-in enabled, confirm via the email and re-check the subscriber’s status.
FAQ
Does this work with the free MailerLite plan?
Yes. The integration uses MailerLite’s standard API, available on every plan.
Can different forms feed different groups?
Yes. Each form’s Chimpmatic tab is independent, so every form can target its own group, or a different provider entirely.
Classic MailerLite or the new platform?
Generate the token from the Integrations page of your current MailerLite dashboard as described above; that is the API the integration speaks.
